  • Is Oktoberfest a Free Festival?

    Yes! All ages are welcome! Admission to the festival is free. Attendees are required to purchase glassware and drink tickets in order to consume alcohol.

  • What do I do when I get there?

    Step1: Receive your, '21 and over wristband" and purchase glassware and drink tickets at the ticket booth. Located directly behind Steins Beer Garden at the north end of the festival grounds.

    Step 2: All tables are open seating except for the VIP area. Sit where you like and enjoy the festival!

  • Where can I get water?

    There is a water tent located between the beer tents and the food vendors. Bottles of water and non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase. 

  • Can I bring my kids?

    Absolutely! MV Oktoberfest is fun for the entire family. There will be a kid's pretzel eating contest located at the main stage and a bouncy house and kids activities in the Kids Zone.

  • Will there be food?

    We will have plenty of authentic German and American options from multiple food vendors.

  • Can I bring my pet?

    Unfortunately, with the exception of service animals, pets are not permitted at the festival. 

  • What if it rains?

    Oktoberfest is on rain or shine! We have a massive 200 ft tent to block the rain and plenty of beer to keep you warm. 

  • How do I get there?

    The festival is conveniently located in downtown Mountain View, with access from Cal Train and the VTA. We also encourage anyone who plans on drinking to consider ride share options and/or have a designated driver. See more information on the "Transportation & Parking" tab.

  • I have leftover drink tickets, can I get a refund? What about tickets from last year?

    Unfortunately, no. Please be mindful of last call as all sales are final and refund will not be given. Also, tickets from last year will not be valid for this year's Oktoberfest.

  • When is last call?

    Drink ticket sales end strictly at 6:30pm both nights. Last pour is at 6:45pm both nights. Please plan on using your tickets before that time. We have a strict policy of ending liquor service on time. 

  • I'm volunteering, where do I go?

    All volunteers will receive a confirmation email with instructions. If you haven't received confirmation please email volunteer@mvoktoberfest.com

  • Can I leave the festival with my beer?

    No. All beer must be consumed on festival grounds. Signs are posted indicating festival boundaries. 

  • Can I fly my drone?

    No drones allowed. The police are pretty serious about this one. 

  • What forms of payment do you accept?

    We encourage all forms of cashless payment. All major credit cards will be accepted. Food vendors will have their own form of acceptable payments.

  • What if someone is getting unruly?

    Mountain View Police will be on-site to handle any issues that may arise. Oktoberfest staff in Yellow Shirts can also assist with any questions. Anyone found publicly intoxicated will be asked to leave the festival. Please drink responsibly.

  • Refusal of Service

    Beer and Wine pourers will not serve alcohol to anyone that is unruly, visibly intoxicated, or without a 21 and over wristband.
