About Us

The Mountain View Oktoberfest began in 2013 as a collaboration between Steins Beer Garden, Tied House Brewery and the Chamber of Commerce. The first year saw attendance of roughly 4,000 people and it has since grown to over 10,000 in attendance. With the exception of a brief hiatus from 2020 - 2022 due to the pandemic, Oktoberfest has been a staple in the Mountain View community and has drawn people from all over the Bay Area.

Of all the Bay Area festivals, the Mountain View Oktoberfest in particular has garnered high praise for its dedicated serving of classic German beer, cuisine, entertainment and use of its large 200 ft tent. It is also the only Oktoberfest to continuously offer true glass steins and boots since its inception.

As we enter our upcoming 10th year, the MV Oktoberfest is looking to expand once again into a larger venue to accommodate the growing attendance. We have many exciting ideas to grow the festival and offer a wider range of activities and services to our amazing and faithful attendees. Thank you for supporting the festival and see you at Oktoberfest!

Enjoy delicious traditional and contemporary German and American cuisine and a wide selection of German, Austrian and American beers! This year we are featuring beer from Paulaner, Hacker-Pschorr, Weltenburger, Steigl, and Narrative Fermentation, one of our favorite local breweries.

New to this year's Oktoberfest are our wine offerings. We will feature a selection of local white and reds for those who would prefer a beer alternative.
